Registering a domain and hosting one is frequently mistaken by a lot of people to be the same thing. They are in reality two separate services - the domain address registration is the actual name and nothing more, while the hosted domains feature refers to the number of already registered domain names that one could accommodate in the same web hosting account and have website data and e-mails for them. Your websites will work in exactly the same way regardless of whether the domain addresses are registered and hosted at the same place or are registered with company A and directed to company B. Simply registering a domain address without hosting it will grant you ownership, but will not enable you to have a website until you host this domain name in some account so that records for it are set up and it starts opening the content from that account.
Hosted Domains in Shared Hosting
The shared hosting plans that we offer permit you to host a different number of domains. This way, you can select what package to get and how much to spend based on your requirements. If you decide to host more domains in the future than the amount the current plan enables you to, you can easily upgrade your entire package or keep the same one and only add more slots for hosted domain names. If you decide to employ the registration services of some other company, you will be able to see the name servers you need to set for your domains in order to point them to our cloud platform in the Hosted Domains section of the Control Panel on our end. If you like to have everything in one location, however, there is no limit on the number of domain names which you can register/transfer within your account whatever the hosting plan that you have chosen. You'll be able to decide if you'll host any of them or you'll forward them to other existing domains.
Hosted Domains in Semi-dedicated Servers
When you buy a semi-dedicated server plan through our company, you will be able to host as many domain names as you wish no matter whether you register them here or you already own them through a different company. We've decided not to restrict this feature since the semi-dedicated plans are rather powerful and the load they're able to handle is fairly high, so it wouldn't make sense to be able to host a fixed amount of domains. The accounts are controlled via the Hepsia CP, that will provide you with total control over all of your hosted domains. You can add a new domain name with a few mouse clicks and everything is done quickly and intuitively, as opposed to rival Control Panels where you might even have to switch between separate accounts to handle a couple of domains. If you register a new domain name on our end, it'll be hosted automatically in your semi-dedicated account.
Hosted Domains in VPS Servers
With our VPS service you're going to get a lot of system resources at your disposal and since you'll have your own server, it is only natural that you can host as many domain addresses as you would like. You can select among three web hosting Control Panels throughout the signup procedure and based on your choice there are two different options. If you select our in-house built Hepsia Control Panel, all domains hosted on the server will be managed together through one account and newly registered domains are going to be hosted automatically, while if you choose cPanel or DirectAdmin, you are going to be able to create an independent account for each domain and for new registrations you will have to add the domains manually. The second alternative may just be more convenient if you want to provide access to a given domain to a third party without giving them access to the entire server or to other domains hosted on it.
